The Mishani owned Fallen For You recently became an EMRT therapy client of Beau Skerrett of Hazelwood Stables and promptly rewarded her owners with two back to back wins in the space of seven days, bringing her prize money tally to $149,500.
A three-year-old chestnut filly by Show A Heart from the Testa Rossa mare Indian Curry, Fallen For You still held her maiden status after 13 starts with three different trainers. An obviously talented horse, she had placed numerous times in 2015 and 2016 but never quite made it across the line first. Fallen For You had unfortunately fallen out of form, with her last placing being in July last year. She had three unplaced runs since and clearly wasn’t quite right within herself. Her trainer, Les Ross, heard about Beau’s success with another Brisbane trained horse and engaged Beau’s services. The results far exceeded all expectations, resulting in a happy horse, trainer and owner!
EMRT Therapy Success
EMRT stands for Equine Muscle Release Therapy and is based on Bowen therapy for humans, named after Tom Bowen who discovered that many health problems can be found and addressed in the soft tissue or fascia, the connective tissue all over the body surrounding the musculoskeletal system. Rather than using forceful or rough manipulation, Bowen therapy uses gentle soft tissue release techniques and is extremely effective on horses, resulting in a relaxed and tension free horse by the conclusion of each session.
Two back-to-back wins in one week
Fallen For You was ridden by jockey Jason Taylor for both wins. The first win came at the Gold Coast Turf Club on 17 June, with the second win on the seven day backup on Beaudesert Cup Day on 24 June. See the video of her latest win here.
